Wire Belt Presents Medium-Duty Flat-Flex Belting

Alternative to Balanced-Weave Belts
Wire Belt, a developer of advanced belting solutions, announces the Flat-Flex XT. An alternative to balanced weave belts, the Flat-Flex XT is ideal for medium-duty processing applications in food and industrial applications. Flat-Flex XT has lower belt mass than balanced weave belting styles which result in lower power consumption, faster processing, and more product thru-put.

The Flat-Flex XT's wire mesh is uniquely designed with "Z-bend" joints to provide greater strength with higher durability and longevity. The spacing layout on the XT features more belt joints in a given belt width so that it provides less stresses among the belt joints for less severe "cyclic loading," or metal fatigue. With its large open-mesh configuration and its no-slip, positive drive, the Flat-Flex XT belt is easy to clean and maintain, while eliminating the need for complicated tracking mechanisms.
Flat-Flex XT belts are suitable for cooling, coating, draining, heating and drying. Typical applications include breading machines, battering applications, commercial fryers, snack foods, cooking ovens, and confectionery.
Offered in a variety of mesh sizes, including single or double loop edge, Flat-Flex XT is available in a variety of configurations to meet specific application needs. Customized belt edges are available, including reinforcing plates and chain edges. Wire Belt also offers accompanying drive components, such as sprockets and cage rollers.
