Block butter and shortening are messy and difficult to meter. American Process Systems' sanitary pumping, metering and extrusion systems feed up to 45,000 pounds per hour of cold block shortening or butter to multiple locations.

Their shortening and butter system allows you to safely and accurately meter cold, 50-pound blocks into your blending systems without tempering. It eliminates operator error and helps to maximize the capacity of your blenders. Rather than building recipes off the whole block you can now meter with and accuracy of ± 1%.

American Process Systems is a certified ASME ("U" and "R" stamps) facility, authorized to manufacture and repair pressure vessels, including jacketing on auger housings and transition head assemblies. This jacketing can provide cooling or heating in the housing wall, which may be used to reduce product friction without changing the product temperature, or to accelerate a melting or chilling process.
