VerticalNet Expands Marketplace Reach Through Syndicated Buyer's Guide Program
Horsham, PA - VerticalNet, Inc. announced that several industry marketplaces have adopted the VerticalNet Syndicated Buyer's Guide program; which provides access to a comprehensive listing of more than 25,000 small and medium-sized suppliers throughout 14 distinct industry sectors. The Syndicated Buyer's Guide program allows third-party industry marketplaces to incorporate discrete supplier catalog data contained within VerticalNet's extensive supplier database. The Food and Beverage Exchange (FBX), a division of the International Quality & Productivity Center, is the first such marketplace to implement the program. FBX (www.foodbevx.com) is engaged in the production of senior-level executive conferences in the food and beverage industries.
"As we expected, the reception our Syndicated Buyers Guide program has received from other industry marketplaces has been very strong," said Tom Roberts, Vice President and General Manager for VerticalNet's Small/Medium Business Group. "Syndication of our suppliers allows us to deliver more leads to each supplier, while providing industry marketplace users access to our depth of detailed product content across 59 industry marketplaces."
"Our conference attendees and speakers are looking for detailed industry information when they come to our site," said Rob Shannon, Managing Director for FBX. "VerticalNet has already done the hard work in compiling relevant online supplier content for our industry. Given this, their program was very compelling and we're pleased with the value it has added to our clients."
Other industry marketplaces that have adopted the VerticalNet Syndicated Buyer's Guide program include; Chemlink, Pharma-Lexicon, Ltd. and CyberFab.net with many other marketplaces currently reviewing the program.
