Twin Screw Extruders

The Evolum HT 53 twin screw extruder features increased torque and screw speed designed to help food processors achieve better performance from their extrusion processing lines. With a 53-mm screw diameter, the machine can pump out 200–2,000 kg/h of product, due to its motor, gearbox design and increased screw speed.

The extruder's wraparound frame is designed to provide maximum accessibility. Overhead, the holding platform supports mounting of a preconditioner or other ancillary equipment. The Operator Interface Terminal may be mounted at the side of the system's frame for convenience. The machine includes ergonomically designed anti-slip steel footmounts, as well as a handrail and footrail to allow easy machine access. The design also allows quick access to operating parts for sanitation and maintenance.

The total barrel length may range from 3–12 modules (L to D from 12–48), depending on processing requirements. A simple clamp system unlocks the barrel from the lantern to allow immediate barrel access for reconfiguration or dismantling. The oversized lantern opening allows access to the bearing block and shaft coupling.
