Summer Prize Fruit Company

Source: Summer Prize Fruit Company
Summer Prize processes peaches, strawberries and mixed fruits in a wide variety of frozen product lines, including dessert, pie, ice cream and yogurt peaches and strawberries, as well as fruit cups and toppings, and fruits for purees and preserves.

Summer Prize peaches have "fresh picked" appearance and taste, characteristics of fruit harvested at the peak of maturity. Unlike canning, which requires very firm fruit, freezing "fresh" maintains the color, sweetness, and texture found in ripe fruit.

Peaches are processed using either "IQF" or "Syrup" packs. The IQF method (individually quick frozen), rapidly freezes individual pieces in an air tunnel at -30 F. IQF packs contain no water or added sugar. Syrup pack fruits are packaged in various size containers combining the fruit with fruit syrup, sugar syrup, or a medium selected by the customer. Summer Prize can produce any cut of peach at any desired level of firmness and sweetness.
