Steritech Offers Food Safety Management Services Brochure & Food Safety Training Posters

First 50 Food Service Operators To Reply Will Receive Poster Series Free

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Steritech Group, Inc., one of the premier providers of food safety and environmental hygiene services in North America, offers a free, informational pocket-CD brochure of its food safety management services. The company also is offering a series of four food safety-related training posters; the first 50 food service operators to request the poster series will receive a complete set of the posters for free.

The pocket-CD brochure provides an overview of the following Steritech services:

  • Food Safety Management Systems
  • Food Safety Audits
  • Quality Systems and Vendor Assurance Programs
  • Training and Certification
  • Auditing Software and Data Management
  • PracticeFoodSafety.com®
  • EcoSensitive® Pest Prevention

"Ensuring food safety is not an option for food service operators, processors and distributors – it's a public health responsibility and is of critical importance to protecting their brands," explains Mark Jarvis, president, Food Safety Division, Steritech. "Ensuring food safety and environmental hygiene can be a difficult task, especially in today's environment. Bio terrorism is described by the World Health Organization as a ‘real and current threat,' which when added to the conventional risks related to food safety and sanitation, underscores the importance of having a comprehensive food safety plan in place."

Proper training of food service employees is key to creating a safe working and eating environment in food service settings. While Steritech offers a variety of training services to food service operators and their employees, the company recognizes that, due to the fast pace of the food service industry and rapid employee turnover, it is necessary to continuously reinforce important food safety messages such as proper employee hygiene and sanitation procedures. Steritech's series of four training posters is an easy way to remind employees of their responsibilities as food workers.

The training posters are 8 ½" x 11" and have a self-adhesive backing, allowing them to be mounted in any location. For example, the Hand Washing poster can be mounted next to the operator's hand sinks to remind employees when and how to wash their hands.

The poster series, available in English, Spanish and French (Canada only), includes the following topics:

  • Hand Washing
  • Cross Contamination
  • Food Safety Temperatures
  • Sink Preparation and Procedures

The first 50 food service operators who contact Steritech will receive a set of the posters for free. The series can also be purchased for $29.95.
