Sam's Club Debuts Granola Bites Made With Nature Valley Ingredients

Minneapolis, MN - The great taste of Nature Valley is now delivered in a bite-sized treat baked fresh at more than 500 Sam's Club bakeries nationwide. The new Granola Bites, developed by General Mills, bring the great taste and natural ingredients found in Nature Valley granola bars.

General Mills has expanded the retail success of the Nature Valley brand to the supermarket bakery. Made with pure and simple, great-tasting Nature Valley ingredients, the cranberry-walnut flavored Granola Bites are loaded with hearty granola, crunchy walnuts and cranberries. Baked fresh in the bakery at Sam's Club stores, Granola Bites give consumers a great-tasting snack with fewer than 100 calories per serving.

"There is a growing trend for snacks to be 100 calories or less, and consumers have really started to take notice," said Paul Walther, Consumer Insights manager for the General Mills Bakeries & Foodservice division. "The success of this snacking trend can be realized in the bakery, too, with new Granola Bites from General Mills. Granola Bites deliver the great tasting Nature Valley ingredients found in its granola bars at less than 100 calories per serving."

Granola Bites in Cranberry Walnut are available now at more than 500 Sam's Club bakeries nationwide. Nature Valley is the Official Natural Energy Bar for the PGA TOUR, U.S. Ski Team and the Warren Miller Film Tour. In addition, Nature Valley is a sponsor of The National Park Foundation.
