Denver, CO - Quiznos, recently announced the introduction of its Prime Rib on Garlic Bread toasted sub to restaurants nationwide. Quiznos' national ad campaign, developed to promote the new Prime Rib on Garlic Bread sandwich, pokes fun at the sandwich wars that have developed between Quiznos and sandwich-rival Subway.

Quiznos is still the only quick service restaurant (QSR) concept to offer prime rib as a staple in their menu selections and the ads capitalize on this fact. The controversial campaign lets passersby's compare Quiznos Prime Rib on Garlic Bread to an area on the plate where Subway's sub would traditionally be.

"We've had a lot of fun conceptualizing and producing this campaign," said Tom Ryan, Quiznos Chief Concept Officer and President of Ventures. "These ads showcase our unique product platform, taking our previously successful ‘on the street' comparative campaign to the next level. The facts speak for themselves – we offer customers a quality prime rib selection and Subway does not."

"We expect to continue acting as industry trendsetters, rolling out innovative product platforms and catchy campaigns that the market will respond to," Mr. Ryan continued. "Quiznos brings chef-inspired recipes to the quick service experience, satisfying the market's intrinsic desire for quality products combining the finest meats, cheeses and fresh produce."

The Prime Rib on Garlic Bread is a limited-time offer available now through March 31 and completes the company's prime rib platform, joining the wildly popular Prime Rib & Peppercorn and Prime Rib Cheesesteak toasted subs.

"Quiznos is bringing a new philosophy to QSR by offering fine-dining quality food that fit into our guests' busy schedules, while satisfying their taste buds and appetites," said Chef Zach Calkins, Quiznos Director of Culinary Development. "For instance, the new Prime Rib on Garlic Bread takes Quiznos own ‘made-right-here' garlic bread, made fresh in the restaurants each morning on artisan bread, and combines it with our tender, juicy prime rib, which is slow roasted and thinly sliced.

"Because we start with the very best base ingredients, we take any add-ons very seriously," Chef Zach added. "For the Prime Rib on Garlic Bread, we add the right amount of mozzarella, mayo and specialty spices before giving the sub our ‘toasted-to-perfection' treatment, which brings out the subtle flavors and great beefy taste our customers have come to expect."
