Programmable Limit Switch

The PLS PS-6344 Programmable Limit Switch accepts inputs from two resolvers to allow independent monitoring and control of different axes of rotary motion, thereby coordinating events between two separate processes. The automatic speed compensation feature, combined with fast scan times, enable the PS-6344 to quickly respond to changes in line speed and product movement, minimizing machine errors and reducing scrap and downtime. Product changeover is simplified by the IBM-PC compatible PLSNET software that enables custom programs to be stored in a computer's hard drive or on disk for future use, resulting in increased productivity and less downtime.

Modbus ASCII communications also facilitate quick and easy on-the fly program edits, using an MMI software package. The PS-6344 can be used as a standalone controller, or interfaced to PLC's in larger automation systems. Typical applications include palletizers and de-palletizers, cartoners and case packers, form-fill-seal machines, polybag machines, beverage fillers, gluing machines, and high-speed presses.
