Plastic Pallets
Plastic pallets offer numerous advantages over traditional wood products, including ease of cleaning; the elimination of rotting, corrosion, splintering and degradation; and they do not harbor bacteria or absorb chemicals. They are also highly competitive with wood pallets on a cost/performance measure due to their significantly longer useful life and recyclability.
The pallet is a truly rackable, automation-friendly, fully recyclable plastic pallet, and is made to compete directly with the industry-standard, rackable wood GMA pallet. It incorporates such key technologies as:
The unique I-beam pultrusion reinforcement system. The I-beam system makes the pallet capable of meeting or surpassing the performance standards currently established for 40 x 48in. edge-rackable Grocery Manufacturers' Association-specified wood pallets systems.
The manufacturer's Structural Foam Molding process, using high-density polyethylene, results in an exceptionally tough, durable pallet in cold and hot environments.
Other key features, which enable it to meet or exceed all industry test criteria for pallets, including ANSI, ASTM, ISO and VPI Fast Track, include:
Block-style, measuring 40 x 48 x 5 11/16in. and weighing approximately 57 lbs.
Edge rack load capacity of 2,800 lbs.
Dynamic load capacity of 5,000 lbs.
Operating temperature range from -20º F. to 140º F.
True four-way entry.
Enhanced base deck stiffness for safe and effective handling on conveyors and other automated equipment.
Strength enough to hold heavy loads for extended periods without distorting or sagging.
Provisions for RFID tracking devices.
Optional hand holds.
The pallets are designed to serve a broad range of industries, leading off with traditional GMA pallet users in the food and grocery manufacturing and distribution business, as well as the pharmaceutical and non-food retail distribution industries. They are available through the company's pallet leasing program at a cost equivalent to or less than that for wood pallet systems.
