PID Inc. Changes Name to Sequencia Corp.

PID Inc., an automation solutions provider for process manufacturers, has changed its name to Sequencia Corp.

The company said the new name better reflects the evolution of its business focus beyond plant floor-specific applications.

With the expansion of companies such as SAP, Oracle, and Peoplesoft, the demand for integration of these business-level systems with the automation software on the plant floor has increased.

DuPont uses Sequencia's solutions and plans to integrate their plant floor data with their business system data. According to DuPont senior consultant Ray Walker, "Integration of plant floor systems with business systems allows companies to leverage the strategic value of their inventory, planning, production and costing data to improve profitability."

Sequencia Corp. supplies process manufacturing solutions for managing formulas, automating the plant floor, and leveraging integration of ERP systems in the specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, consumer packaged goods, and food and beverage industries.

Headquartered in Phoenix, Sequencia is a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider (MCSP) Partner and an SAP Complementary Software Partner (CSP).
