History: Crescent Foods was founded in Seattle in 1883 by Albert C. Larsen and has become one of the best recognized brands in the Pacific Northwest. In April 1992, the name was changed to Pacific Foods, Inc. The Company is privately owned and was acquired in June 2000 by an investment group committed to dynamic growth and service, including other strategic acquisitions that serve the needs of our customers.

Markets: Pacific Foods is a worldwide supplier to the food processing, food service, and retail consumer industries. Our primary market focus involves the development of value added products for many territories ranging from the Pacific Northwest (local) to the Pacific Rim (international). Major segments included: restaurant chains, poultry and seafood, bakery and snacks. Pacific Foods is a primary importer and processor of spices from various foreign markets. Value added custom blends are created in the form of seasonings, marinades, sauces, soup bases and gravies. Pacific Foods also produces liquid flavor extracts including our trademark "Mapeleine" line. Baking powder is also processed for export to Hong Kong. The "Gold Shield" brand of recipe nuts enjoys a major market share at retail supermarkets throughout the Northwest.

Capabilities: Pacific Foods is headquartered in a new 105,000 square foot facility which includes: administration, technical services, manufacturing and distribution.

We are strategically located for raw materials received through the Port of Seattle, and finished goods distributed to the Northwest, Western Canada and the Pacific Rim.

Our processing capabilities include: the sterilization, cleaning and grinding of spices; the custom blending of dry mixes; the extraction and mixing of liquid flavors; combined with packaging options from 2 oz. Containers to 250 lb drums.

A primary strength is derived from our technical expertise. Research and development food scientists create new product opportunities for our customers. Quality Assurance technicians provide laboratory analysis of both raw materials and finished goods.

Marketing and sales provide the focus for our growth opportunities and develop the strategic partnerships that are necessary to be a truly "customer driven" organization.
