Nabisco to Close Seville, Ohio Processing Plant

Nabisco, Inc. has announced that it will close its Seville, OH, food-processing plant by year-end. The plant produces gelatin products, drink mixes and baking powder. Production will be shifted to other food processing facilities.

Nabisco said the Seville plant is currently operating well below company and industry asset utilization averages. The closure of the Seville plant is part of a broad company-wide restructuring program designed to improve asset utilization and stem earnings declines in domestic and international operations.
