Lemo Launches User-Friendly Bag Making Machine Featuring Zip-Pak Quick Zip Technology

New Technology Reduces Changeover Downtime up to 25% and is on Display at K-Show Booth #03/A74

Manteno, IL – Zip-Pak announces that LEMO Maschinenbau GmbH, a leading German provider of bag-making equipment, has launched a new machine, the CAPmat-Slider. The CAPmat-Slider bag-maker features a computerized, user-friendly interface and special conversion modules which allow packagers and converters to reduce changeover downtime by up to 25% when changing between the production of standard side weld bags and other bag formats. This new technology makes it easier than ever for complex production lines to incorporate the benefits of QuickZipTM SLIDER zippers directly onto bags.

Available globally, the diversity of bag types that can be produced with CAPmat-Slider makes the new technology ideal for various bakery, frozen food, snack, pet food and household applications.

Zip-Pak's QuickZipTMSLIDER is the first economical, high-performance slider for low-density polyethylene (LDPE) bags. It meets increasing consumer demand for the convenience of the value added resealable feature.

"We were eager to introduce our new machine with Zip-Pak technology because it combines the high quality resealability and cost-effectiveness that our customers demand," said Sabine Zanders, Regional Sales and Marketing Manager at LEMO. "Also, with Zip-Pak's new European production facility in Winschoten, the Netherlands, European customers will be able to obtain the materials they need with great efficiency."

"Zip-Pak is committed to developing solutions that enhance packaging flexibility and quality," explained Robert Hogan, Director of Sales and Marketing at Zip-Pak. "Through key partnerships with OEMs like LEMO, more brands around the world will be able to efficiently add the benefits of consumer preferred resealable packaging to their products."

In addition to special changeover modules that allow users to quickly and easily produce various bag types on a single machine, the new CAPmat-Slider bag maker also features efficient motorized parts and a completely computerized user interface. This digital processing system simplifies production processes by providing simplified data storage for repeat orders. The machine's built in modem allows technicians to gain remote access to the machine.

"LEMO is proud to introduce a machine that combines excellent production flexibility with significantly reduced changeover downtime and user-friendly computerized interface," concluded Zanders.
