Kolache Factory to Open Second Austin, TX Location

Houston, TX - Kolache Factory bakery-café will open at 3706 North Lamar Blvd. in Austin, TX on December 13. The bakery-café franchise was purchased by Austin native Greg McNelis, who also has a second store located at 4101 West Parmer Lane.

"Our first Kolache Factory bakery-café has been so popular with customers that we decided to open a second location, and even have plans to open a third one," said McNelis. "Fact is, people have grown tired of eating the same old thing and welcome the opportunity to eat something refreshingly different. Because we have a tremendous variety of freshly baked kolaches to choose from, our customers can enjoy a variety of taste experiences."

In addition to serving kolaches, a popular product best described as pockets of bread filled with a variety of ingredients such as fruit, cheese, eggs and sausage, Kolache Factory offers its customers gourmet coffees and a variety of traditional pastries. These pastries include, but are not limited to, cinnamon rolls, croissants and strudel niks.

The freshly baked kolaches served at Kolache Factory are a modern variation of the pastry roll that originated in Eastern Europe centuries ago. The company serves a wide range of kolaches that are appropriate for breakfast, as well as a multitude that is suitable for lunch and dinner, and even consumed as satisfying, tasty snacks.

There are currently 14 company-owned and eight franchise stores in Houston, TX, two franchise stores in Indianapolis, IN, and one franchise store in Denver, CO; St. Louis, MO; Overland Park, KS; McAllen, TX and Austin, TX. Other franchise stores will soon be opening in various cities around the country. Kolache Factory is privately owned and operated, and ships its products nationwide.
