The origins of Ivex Packaging Corporation date back to 1947. However, the core businesses of the Company, as we know them today, were acquired between 1988 and 1991. The acquisitions of four established companies, Kama Corporation, Ivex Corporation, L&CP Corporation and IPMC, Inc. were part of an overall strategic plan to create a vertically integrated specialty packaging company known as Ivex Packaging Corporation. Ivex has augmented its core businesses in the past few years with the acquisitions of PPI, Plastofilm, Trio, M&R, AVPEX, Crystal, Ultra Pac, Bleyer, Pactuco and Folietechniek.
