Industrial Connectors Designed For Sensors and Control Devices Are UL Listed

Wiring Device-Kellems, a division of Hubbell Inc., has introduced a new line of environmentally protected molded-on control connectors. The new line is the first to receive UL Listing to a new UL subject.

The Micro-Quick control connectors can speed up connections and help eliminate down time. Their ability to quickly connect sensors and proximity switches on the processing line greatly reduces the time required to replace hard wire connections.

Typical applications for these new connectors are as quick disconnects for control devices in the automated manufacturing, food processing, bottling, dairy, and material handling industries.

Micro-Quick devices feature superior sealing to eliminate contamination and to provide watertight protection. The polyurethane overmold supplies superior corrosion and abrasion resistance for high abuse environments. In addition, the black overmold and cable resist dirt and blend with manufacturing environments giving installations a clean look.

An integral strain relief with offset and graduated window sizes offers increased flexibility to distribute force away from contact terminations. Pin contacts are standard brass material while the sockets are beryllium copper to maintain shape and continuity over time.

All Micro-Quick contacts are plated in hard gold over palladium nickel which resist corrosion and results in high mating cycles.

Devices available include straight and 90º male and female plugs, receptacles, extension cables, LED plugs and dust caps. Configurations include 2-6 pole dual key AC, 3&4 pole single key DC and 3&4 pole inverse key AC. The standard No. 22 AWG cable has 85% copper braid coverage to help resist nicks and abrasions and to provide shielding when the braid is terminated. All devices are UL Listed and CSA Certified.
