US based KVP, part of California based Summa Industries, one of the leading manufacturer of plastic injection moulding belts used in the UK, has been purchased by Habasit AG, the parent company of Habasit Rossi Ltd.
KVP is an important supplier of belts to the UK food and packaging industries and has many successful existing installations including bakeries, confectioners, vegetable growers, meat, poultry and fish processing, companies. The business also has a number of customers in non-durable industries ranging from book binding to battery making.
This latest move has major benefits for Habasit Rossi Ltd, who will from August 2007 add the KVP product range including spiral belts to its extensive product line-up.
Habasit Rossi Ltd already the market leader in light weight conveyor and processing belts has a well established name in the marketplace for innovation, quality and speed of service, which now coupled with the addition of the KVP / Falcon products, will enable it to offer the most comprehensive range of belting products in the UK.
KVP was the first company to introduce plastic spiral conveyor belts in the 1980s and its 'All-in-One' brand continues to dominate the market for low-tension spiral conveyor systems. KVP has extensive installation experience in proving, drying, chilling, cooling and freezing applications.
