Doug Colson Appointed Senior Vice President, Business Development of Cookson Plastic Molding Corp.
In his new position, Colson, who joined Cookson in 1993, will be responsible for the international management of the company's Chep project, the world's largest pallet pooling program. Colson also will assist with the European Material Handling Sales and Marketing efforts of the company, as well as work with the Cookson Plastic Molding Executive Management team on corporate development, including acquisition research and new market opportunities.
"We're looking forward to the expansion and development of Cookson and Chep, including the geographic markets we serve and the products we offer," said Colson. "As we continue to grow, we'll be identifying opportunities for acquisitions also," he said.
Prior to his promotion, Colson has served as Managing Director of Cookson Plastics Europe where his responsibilities included the start up of plastic pallet sales and marketing efforts.
Colson received his Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University. A native of Summit, NJ, he attended the Wharton School and the Cookson Executive Development Program.
He and his wife, Kathleen, and their three children will be relocating from Surrey, England, to Dorset, VT.
