DiverseyLever Sets Up Consulting Company

DiverseyLever (Amsterdam), the professional cleaning and hygiene group of Unilever, is starting a new business, DiverseyLever Consulting. The new company's goal is to meet the growing need for a global, standardized approach to hygiene and food safety. It will offer consumer and brand protection through integrated management systems, which involve the combination of strategic consulting, risk assessment, bench marking and providing hygiene solutions. The company will maintain standards through independent auditing and certification and will service all sectors that require hygiene and food safety solutions.

DiverseyLever Consulting will deliver this integrated service in association with SGS (Societe Generale de Surveillance), an independent testing, inspection and certification organization. The other associates are Checkmate International, a UK-based hygiene and food safety consultancy and Zurich Financial Services, a financial services organization and a specialist in risk engineering. The alliance will draw from DiverseyLever's existing alliance with Merck KGaA in the field of hygiene monitoring and diagnostics, together with Unilever's global resources and R&D capabilities.
