Dawn Food Products, Inc, Introduces Disney Better-for-You Sponge Cakes For Kids

Jackson, MI - After delighting consumers for more than 85 years, Dawn Food Products, Inc., one of the world's largest independently owned bakery manufacturers and distributors, is introducing another great treat: Disney Sponge Cakes. Fortified with calcium, the cakes come in three varieties: Disney Princess Golden Sponge Cakes, Disney Racing Golden Sponge Cakes and Disney Racing Chocolate Sponge Cakes. The cakes contain 100 calories, 25 percent less sugar than the leading snack cake brands and no trans fat.

The Disney Sponge Cakes are part of Dawn's zero grams trans fat program created to provide a treat alternative for those who enjoy cakes, muffins, cookies, brownies and many other sweet goods. The cakes will be in grocery stores in time for back-to-school season at the recommended retail price range of $1.99-$2.49. Consumers can choose between golden sponge cake with crème filling and light drizzle icing or chocolate sponge cake with crème filling and light drizzle icing. The Golden Sponge Cakes feature the Disney Princess character and the Racing Sponge Cakes feature the Disney Car character. The cakes come in a box of six and are individually wrapped.
