Cookie/Cracker Inspection System

The "over-band" version of QualiVision Model L800-CSx cookie/cracker inspection system is designed to meet the product inspection needs of cookie, cracker, bun and biscuit manufacturing companies.

Installed over the oven band, with the presence of oil mist and the vibration and bounce of the oven band, cracker thickness is measured to better than 0.05 mm. In addition, the system is said to provide excellent height measurement accuracy and measures bake color with sensitivity and repeatability better than the human eye.

Trends in thickness, volume, ovality and bake color can be detected before they are visible to the operator and corrective action can be taken before the product goes out of specification.

The unit is a family of machine vision based optical inspection systems. Parameters measured by the systems include:

2-Dimensional size including length, width, minimum diameter, maximum diameter and ovality.

3-Dimensional shape including thickness, height, end-to-end slope and center-to-edge slope.

Optical density to detect holes and uncooked dough in thin products.

Bake color including top average bake, bottom average bake, bake color of product edges, background bake color excluding chocolate chips or other surface components, and bake color of ridges and valleys on ridged products.
