ConAgra Elects CEO Rohde Chairman of Board of Directors

ConAgra's CEO Bruce Rohde, has also been elected chairman by the company's board of directors. He has been vice chairman, president and CEO since September 1997. He succeeds as chairman Philip Fletcher, who will continue as a member of ConAgra's board and become chairman of the board's executive committee.

Rohde joined ConAgra in 1996 as vice chairman and president, after serving as ConAgra's general counsel for 12 years and representing ConAgra as a principal attorney for 22 years. He has a BS degree in business administration and a JD degree from Creighton University.

Omaha-based ConAgra is an international diversified food company with 83,000 employees working in 35 countries around the world.
