Headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Central Soya Company, Inc. is primarily involved in the acquisition of agricultural products and their resale in raw or processed form to agricultural, industrial and food markets. Our parent company, Eridania Beghin-Say is an internationally recognized processor of commodity based products.

Central Soya operates 8 production facilities. Seven are located in the U.S. in the states of Indiana, Illinois and Ohio, while one is located in Aarhus, Denmark, and is dedicated to soy proteins. Our global marketing efforts are aided by our Central Soya European Protein plants in Denmark and France, our Stern Lecithin and Soya sales offices headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, a sales office in Brazil, and also our joint venture with CanAmera Foods of Oakville, Ontario, Canada. CanAmera is Canada's largest processor of oilseed products. Approximately 1200 employees work at Central Soya which created net sales of about U$S 1.2 billion for FY 1996.

Central Soya began in 1934. In 1937, the first large-scale, solvent extraction plant started production in Decatur, Indiana. The founder of that solvent extraction operation and Central Soya, was Dale McMillen. It was through his foresight that Central Soya was situated in the principal soybean producing region of the world. From that single plant, Central Soya has grown into a $1.2 billion corporation with 8 plants operating in the U.S. and Europe.
