BFGoodrich Establishes Food & Beverage Division

The Consumer Specialties Group of BFGoodrich Performance Materials has announced the establishment of the Food and Beverage Ingredients Division, a new business unit that will provide ingredients to the food and beverage industry worldwide.

The new division reflects the integration of select product lines obtained in the recent acquisition of Freedom Chemical Co. and three of its subsidiaries. The initial product portfolio of the new Food and Beverage Ingredients Division includes food preservatives and flavor and fragrance compounds from Kalama Chemical Inc., synthetic FD&C Certified (Food, Drug and Cosmetics) dyes and lakes and natural colors from Hilton Davis Inc., and natural gums, dough conditioners and flavor and aroma enhancers from Diamalt GmbH.

The product portfolio serves a wide range of applications in the food and beverage industry, including bakery, confectionery, candy, beverages, pet food and prepared meals.

The Food and Beverage Ingredients Division has manufacturing facilities in the United States, Germany, China and India.
