Automated Spectrophotometer

HunterLab's new LabScan XE Spectrophotometer is for use in the color control of food products. It features 0/45-degree optical geometry that "sees" color the way the eye sees color.

LabScan XE measures food samples in virtually any form from solids and powders to liquids and pastes. It can be used in sample port up, port forward, and, with the optional sample stand, port down orientation. It is also engineered to be maintenance free, since there are no fans with air filters to change, and the xenon lamp will never need replacement.

The LabScan XE system uses automation extensively with functions that include automatic standardization to an internal reference to maintain maximum measurement stability, and UV control for D65 conformance. Automated variable sample illumination allows measurement of large and small sample areas. A viewing screen with magnification assures accurate positioning for sample measurement

LabScan XE is used with HunterLab's Universal Software, which collects, displays, analyzes and stores color data.
