AFC Enterprises To Acquire Cinnabon International

Atlanta-based AFC Enterprises, Inc. has signed an agreement to acquire Seattle-based Cinnabon International, Inc., holding company of the leading cinnamon roll bakery retailer in the world. Cinnabon, Inc., the wholly owned subsidiary of Cinnabon International, Inc. operates and franchises 358 retail cinnamon roll bakeries operating in 39 states, Canada and Mexico.

``Cinnabon will be operated within AFC's Bakery Cafe Group and will be a significant addition to AFC's portfolio of high value brands,'' says Gregg Kaplan, president of the group.

AFC Enterprises, Inc., parent company to Churchs Chicken, Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, Seattle's Best Coffee, Torrefazione Italia and Chesapeake Bagels, Bakery & Cafe, is one of the world's largest operators and franchisors of restaurants, bakeries and cafes with more than 2,800 locations in 25 countries worldwide.
