Abel & Schafer, a family business for more than 100 years. Abel & Schafer today, still owned and operated by the Schafer family, is one of the leading specialty mix companies in Europe and North America for blending specialty grains and flour mixes for the baking industry worldwide. Known under the trade name "Komplet".

Mr. Fritz Schafer started in 1958 as one of the first milling companies in Europe to bring ready mixes for bakeries to the market. The quality and the originality of the product line fueled the success of the company. Entering the 20th century with it's own flour mill, eight blending facilities and sales offices in over 15 countries, "Kompet" Abel & Schafer has a wide variety of products to offer, and is well known for truly international expertise.

In 1983, Abel & Schafer Inc. U.S.A, started with the sale of special selected bread and cake mixes. The products were then still manufactured in Germany. The "Original Choice 6 Grain Mix", the first multi grain bread mix offered in the U.S quickly found it's way to the American baker. Today Abel & Schafer U.S.A manufactures over 200 products in it's modern manufacturing plant in Ronkonkoma New York. With warehouses and over 100 distributors all over North and South America, Abel & Schafer provides the same quality service that bakers in Europe have enjoyed for many years.
