Advantage — Pack Expo: PMMI And NPTA Alliance Launch DistriPak Pavilion At Pack Expo International
Arlington, VA – The DistriPak Pavilion will make its PACK EXPO International debut this fall (McCormick Place, Chicago; Oct. 31–Nov. 3), according to PACK EXPO organizer and producer PMMI. The pavilion is sponsored by NPTA Alliance (formerly the National Paper Trade Association).
"The trends affecting the paper, packaging and supplies distribution industry impact PACK EXPO attendees and exhibitors across the board," says Charles D. Yuska, president and CEO of PMMI. "PACK EXPO is committed to addressing trends that impact the entire packaging and processing supply chain."
NPTA Alliance represents the $60-plus billion paper, packaging and supplies distribution industry, and its members serve a wide range of end users, including manufacturers within every segment, including electronics; food & beverage/wine; bakery & snack; cosmetics & toiletries; dairy; pharmaceutical; chemical; candy & confection; and paper & textiles.
PACK EXPO will feature some 1,600 suppliers exhibiting over 1 million square feet of space — the North, South and Lakeside Halls of McCormick Place, and PMMI expects 45,000 packaging and processing professionals to attend.
"PMMI is actively pursuing partnerships like this one with NPTA Alliance because they provide an extra layer of depth for attendees. It's all part of offering attendees the opportunity to address every aspect of their production line needs," Yuska says.
NPTA Alliance CEO Newell Holt notes the DistriPak Pavilion was also part of PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2009, and 2010 will mark its PACK EXPO International debut.
"Because NPTA Alliance will be at PACK EXPO International 2010, distributors and end users will get a chance to connect with distribution firms and each other," he says. "Attendees will benefit from a new avenue for finding the leading industrial packaging distributors and machinery and materials manufacturers who sell through the distribution channel. For exhibitors, it's a way to reach end user and distributor senior executives and purchasing decision makers of highly-qualified prospects."
To make the most of this opportunity, NPTA plans several events to coincide with the dates of PACK EXPO: An NPTA Alliance booth on the show floor, an NPTA Packaging Segment networking reception, and a meeting of the NPTA Packaging Committee.
"The DistriPak Pavilion at PACK EXPO is a unique opportunity for exhibitors and attendees, and NPTA is pleased to provide that additional value to exhibitors and attendees at this year's event," said Newell Holt, NPTA CEO.
